An Evening Walk By The Sea
Earlier this week, Aykut Balli and his wife were taking their usual evening walk near the seaside by their home in Turkey. It was a familiar place for them, somewhere they visited often to enjoy the calm of the water and the fresh air.
Children were playing nearby on the beach when Balli’s wife suddenly noticed something unusual floating in the waves.
At first, it was hard to tell what it was. But then they realized the small shape in the water was a kitten.
A Kitten In Danger
The tiny animal was struggling in the sea, and Balli immediately felt he had to do something. He had not planned to swim that evening, but the moment he saw the kitten, nothing else mattered.
To him, the frightened little animal looked helpless — and he could not stand by and watch.
Without taking time to think, Balli rushed into the water.
A Rescue Without Hesitation
Balli swam toward the kitten and carefully pulled her from the waves. For him, the decision was simple. The kitten was a living creature in danger, and she needed help immediately.
Once he brought her safely back to shore, Balli wrapped her in his towel and began drying her off. Then he placed her near the heater in his car to help warm her body after the frightening ordeal.
Safe, Warm And Recovering
After making sure the kitten was no longer in immediate danger, Balli continued caring for her until she seemed stable. Thankfully, she began to recover.
Later, he was able to find the kitten’s worried mother and reunite them. It was a touching moment after such a scary experience.
The next morning, Balli returned with food and checked on the kitten again. To his relief, she was doing well.
A Bigger Plan To Help
But Balli’s kindness did not end with one rescue.
After saving the kitten, he began planning a way to help her and other animals in the area. He wants to make sure these vulnerable little lives have a safer place to stay.
Thanks to his quick action, one kitten survived a terrifying moment in the sea — and now, she and her furry friends may soon have a home of their own.
