ATV Riders Rescue Abandoned Puppies Near Train Tracks
While out for a ride near their Kentucky home, Natalea Bowling and Dalton Polly, owners of Paynegap Powersports, never expected their adventure to turn into a life-saving mission.
As they cruised along on their ATVs, something caught their eye—three tiny fluffballs running beside them. Curious, they stopped to investigate. That’s when they saw four more puppies bounding toward them, tails wagging excitedly.
“They were very happy to see us,” Bowling told The Dodo.

The puppies, though skinny and hungry, appeared otherwise healthy. It seemed as though someone had dumped them near the train tracks, leaving them to fend for themselves. When they spotted the couple riding by, they took the perfect chance to ask for help.
A Rescue Mission on Wheels
Bowling and Polly didn’t hesitate—they knew they couldn’t leave the puppies behind. But first, they had to earn their trust.
At first, the pups were a little shy, but with patience and gentle encouragement, the couple managed to load them safely onto the ATV.
What happened next shocked Bowling.
“Honestly, I was shocked, but they did so good,” she said. “They all laid on the floorboard—except for one, who climbed into my lap and stayed there the whole way home.”
Safe, Loved, and Ready for Forever Homes
Now settled in at their temporary home, the puppies—estimated to be around 8 or 9 weeks old—are thriving under Bowling and Polly’s care.
“They’re doing great now—little chunky babies,” Bowling said. “They are all so sweet and playful, but they also just want to cuddle and be loved.”
As they search for loving forever homes for the puppies, the couple is grateful they were in the right place at the right time—turning what started as an ordinary ATV ride into a rescue mission that changed seven little lives forever.
