K-9 Officer Buddy Gets the Sweetest Sendoff After Years of Brave Service
For years, K-9 Officer Buddy faithfully served the Fair Oaks Ranch Police Department in Texas — using his sharp nose to track evidence and his courageous heart to protect his fellow officers and community. But last month, Buddy’s watch officially came to an end as he retired from duty, and his colleagues made sure his farewell was one to remember.
Knowing that Buddy’s favorite pastime at home with his handler, Officer D. Magness, is chasing balls, the department knew exactly how to celebrate his final shift: with an avalanche of his favorite toys.
At his retirement party, officers gathered to shower Buddy with affection — and a whole lot of tennis balls. As the balls rained down around him, Buddy’s reaction was pure joy.
