She had nowhere else to go.
Happy, a sweet senior cat, was abandoned in a parking lot after her family decided she meowed too much. For a long time, she was alone, wandering the streets and sleeping in parking spots, hoping for a change in her life.
That change came when a woman named Lyn started noticing Happy and decided to help. Lyn began bringing her food and created a cozy little spot for her to sleep. Slowly, she worked on gaining Happy’s trust. One day, Lyn found Happy resting her head on a concrete bumper in a parking spot. She sat down and spent time bonding with the cat. Happy snuggled into Lyn’s lap, clearly enjoying the affection.
Though Lyn couldn’t catch Happy that day, she didn’t give up. Eventually, she was able to bring Happy into her care and take her to the vet. Happy, so well-behaved during the visit, was overjoyed to finally be safe and cared for. Once the appointment was complete, Lyn took her home, where Happy began to experience the warmth and love she had been missing for so long.
It took time, but Happy soon settled into her new home. She was amazed by all the love she was receiving, especially by the simple pleasures like sleeping on a soft human bed. At first, she was nervous about jumping up on her mom’s bed, fearing she might get scolded. But once she realized she was welcome, she relaxed and took a snooze, her new life full of comfort and security.
Now, over a year later, Happy is inseparable from her mom. She recently celebrated her 11th birthday with a special cake made just for her, and Lyn couldn’t be happier with how things have turned out. From a lonely street cat to a cherished member of her family, Happy has found her forever home, bringing endless joy to Lyn and her loved ones.
