“Everyone should give bully breeds a chance,” said Brynn, the proud owner of Biggie, a lovable rescue dog who found his forever home through Three Little Pitties. Biggie was initially in poor health when rescued, but with Brynn’s devoted care, he has blossomed into a thriving companion.
Describing Biggie as a “cuddly and sweet bulldozer tornado,” Brynn shared with The Dodo, “One moment he might be unraveling toilet paper across the house, and the next, he’s my pillow as I read, listening to his gentle snores. He adores my family deeply. I believe he’d do anything for meβexcept get off the couch!”
Their heartwarming journey caught the attention of Petco’s Love Stories campaign, sponsored by BOBS from Skechers, where Brynn’s entry won $100,000 for Three Little Pitties.
“I entered the Petco Love Stories contest knowing Three Little Pitties could use the funds to save more dogs like Biggie, who might otherwise face euthanasia without a chance at adoption,” Brynn explained. “I never expected to win anything!”
BOBS from Skechers, celebrating over $11 million in donations to support shelter animals through sales of footwear, apparel, and accessories in the US, Canada, the UK, and Japan, partnered with Petco Love to fund adoptions, vaccinations, and more. Their efforts have positively impacted over 2 million cats and dogs, including Biggie.
“Brynn and Biggie exemplify how these donations are making a difference,” Brynn noted. “Biggie teaches everyone he meets the true spirit of rescue.”
Since 2015, BOBS from Skechers has been committed to animal rescue, donating with every purchase. They’ve expanded their efforts with initiatives like the Paws for a Cause Design Scholarship Program, where students nationwide design shoes inspired by their shelter or adopted pets. Winners like Teeny Nadeau and Maki Shigetani have honored their pets’ legacies and experiences, fostering awareness and support for shelter animals.
