When Barry Keoghan first showed up for his Dodo Dream Date, he was a bit nervous, but those nerves quickly disappeared once he met Lola. Lola had only been single for about a month after being surrendered by her owner, but she instantly clicked with Barry.
From the start, Barry could tell Lola was something special. “I hope someone sees this video and gives Lola a lovely home because she’s gorgeous,” he said, clearly smitten with her.
Their date began with some playful fun — kicking a soccer ball around before sharing some refreshing watermelon by the pool. When Barry suggested they take a dip, he dove in right away, but Lola was a bit more hesitant. Undeterred, Barry set up a kiddie pool, which seemed to be much more to Lola’s liking. “It’s amazing,” Barry said, clearly enjoying the moment with her.
After a fun splash in the water, they spent time drying off, with Barry talking about other fun things they could do together, like karaoke or watching a movie. He even joked that Lola might enjoy his upcoming film, Bird, which features lots of animals. Throughout the day, Barry showered Lola with kisses, which she responded to at her own pace.
As their time together came to an end, Barry reflected on how much Lola deserved a loving forever home. To finish off the date, Lola received a tasty treat for the road — Hill’s Science Diet for adult dogs, which she absolutely loved.
Barry’s good vibes paid off — after their date, Lola found her forever home and is now living her happily-ever-after.
