This year’s Whoop-Up Days boasts a diverse array of attractions, ranging from four-legged performers to captivating creatures with no legs at all. The SuperDogs take center stage on the midway, showcasing their skills, tricks, and agility to an enthusiastic audience. The canine talents, representing various breeds, delight in performing tricks, navigating obstacles, and racing against the clock, showcasing their individual strengths and preferences.

Trainer Christina Chapelsky emphasizes that each dog, whether a puppy or a rescue, has unique preferences, with some excelling in tricks, while others prefer the thrill of agility and speed. The performances provide the dogs with an opportunity to shine in the spotlight, relishing the attention and interaction with the crowd.

Simultaneously, the Wildlife Festival introduces visitors to “living dragons” at the Agri-Food Hub & Trade Centre. This exhibit features a mix of snakes and lizards, drawing inspiration from ancient dragons. Animal care specialist Ken Armstrong oversees these living dragons, offering an interactive experience that allows visitors to touch and learn about these exotic reptiles and their habitats.

The goal of the Wildlife Festival is not only to showcase these fascinating creatures but also to educate visitors, fostering an appreciation for these exotic species. Armstrong notes that the most rewarding aspect is when individuals who are initially fearful of reptiles overcome their phobias, leaving with a positive and transformative experience.

Whether facing fears, witnessing dog athletes in action, or exploring the world of “living dragons,” attendees at Whoop-Up Days have the opportunity to enjoy a diverse range of attractions that celebrate the wonders of the animal kingdom. Both the SuperDogs and the Wildlife Festival continue to captivate audiences throughout the duration of Whoop-Up Days.
