Stephanie Stefani has introduced the Paws Protection Project, a charity and website designed to assist pet owners with comprehensive, easy-to-access animal welfare resources. Based in Guernsey, the initiative aims to provide free and user-friendly guidance for the care of various animals, including cats, dogs, horses, guinea pigs, and even stick insects.
Stefaniβs lifelong passion for animals, fueled by her experience caring for a wide array of pets, inspired the project. She currently cares for three dogs and two cats and often found herself advising friends and family on pet training and care.
In addition to providing educational resources, the charity also offers a rehoming service. Stefani emphasized that the Paws Protection Project complements the work of the GSPCA, Guernsey’s established animal rescue and rehabilitation organization. “The GSPCA does a fantastic job, particularly with wildlife, and we are not here to rival them in any way,” she clarified.
Through the Paws Protection Project, Stefani aims to make animal care knowledge more accessible while supporting her communityβs pet owners in fostering healthier, happier relationships with their animals.
