On a dreary, rain-soaked day, Mayane Rodrigues witnessed a heartwarming scene from her apartment window in Brazil.
In the distance, amidst the downpour, Rodrigues observed a young girl halting her journey home from school on the wet sidewalk. Setting aside her umbrella, she gently lowered her backpack and peeled off her jacket.
It was then that Rodrigues noticed a drenched stray puppy nestled at the girl’s feet — and in that moment, she understood the depth of the girl’s kindness.
Rodrigues observed as the girl tenderly embraced the dog and resumed her journey, leaving a lasting impression akin to an angel’s presence.
“It all unfolded so swiftly. It was incredibly moving,” Rodrigues recounted. “I shared the video with a friend, who then posted it in our neighborhood group, leading me to discover the identity of this angel.”
Her name is Cibely Stiegelmair, a compassionate soul at just 13 years old. On that fateful day, she became a hero, saving a precious life.
“Cibely’s compassion knows no bounds. She has this innate ability to empathize with stray dogs,” Rejane shared, her voice filled with admiration. “If it were within her power, she’d create a sanctuary for every single one of them.”
Welcomed into the family fold, the dog, affectionately dubbed Pretinha by Cibely, found not just a home, but a place brimming with love and acceptance.
The origins of Pretinha’s plight remain a mystery, but one thing remains undeniable — thanks to Cibely, her future is filled with promise and hope.
