β€œSpending quality time with her is always a blessing” ❀️

Saturday

At 7:30 A.M., my boyfriend Jeremy and I wake up, thrilled for the day’s adventure. We’re heading out with our dogs, Beth and Billie, for a camping trip at Windfall Vineyards in Amity, Oregon. Beth, our older, three-legged sweetheart, has a ton of character. Billie, our lively five-month-old rescue pup, is a bundle of energy.

We spend the morning prepping, packing an abundance of food and water, and loading everything into our camper van.

9:00 A.M. We hit the road with enthusiasm. The pups are initially thrilled and inquisitive, their noses pressed to the windows as the scenery whizzes past. Beth is quite vocal during the first part of the journey, but she eventually loses interest and drifts off to sleep.

1:00 A.M. We pull over for a much-needed break, opting for a short hike to stretch our legs. Beth, securely fastened in her carrier, enjoys the ride since her three legs tire quickly.

It’s Billie’s first outing, and it’s delightful to watch her eagerly sniff and explore everything around her.

6:00 P.M. We finally arrive at the vineyard, our camping spot for the night. After setting up, we take a relaxed stroll around the grounds. Jeremy flies his new drone, capturing stunning aerial shots of us. Billie enjoys roaming freely in the open grass, while Beth sticks close to me as I start preparing dinner.

8:00 P.M. We begin winding down for the night. Jeremy and I open a lovely bottle of wine from the vineyard and enjoy a light dinner. As we gaze at the beautiful scenery and the clear night sky, we use a stargazing app on our iPad to identify constellations. The pups eventually curl up and fall asleep in our laps.

Sunday

3:00 A.M. We’re jolted awake by the sound of heavy rain and strong winds. Jeremy and I quickly move the van to a more sheltered spot within the vineyard to avoid the risk of flooding and mud.

7:00 A.M. Everyone wakes up to a calm morning. The storm has passed. Jeremy and I enjoy coffee and a hearty breakfast. Afterward, we take the pups on one final long walk through the vineyard, cherishing our last moments here.

11:00 A.M. It’s time to head home. As we cruise down the long stretches of highway, I feel the fatigue from the previous night’s storm and am eager to return to the comforts of home. I reflect on our camping trip, filled with gratitude for the cherished moments shared with Jeremy and our dogs.

Billie clearly enjoyed her first mini-vacation, and Beth seemed to have a pleasant time as well. With Beth getting older, I appreciate our time together even more. Each moment with her is a true blessing.
