A Good Samaritan wrapped them up in warm blankets 😍

On a chilly night in Sealy, Texas, as temperatures dipped below freezing, three tiny puppies were abandoned outside an apartment complex. Like much of Texas, Sealy was grappling with unusually cold weather, leaving the helpless pups to huddle together for warmth.

Luckily, a compassionate neighbor spotted the shivering puppies and shared their plight in a local Facebook group. While he couldn’t bring them home, he took immediate action by moving them to a vacant storage unit nearby and covering them with blankets. Thanks to his quick thinking, the puppies made it through the night.

One woman, touched by the Facebook post, reached out to Sauver Des Chiens German Shepherd Rescue (SDC). Determined to help, she drove to the complex, gathered the freezing pups, and brought them into her warm home. Her children quickly bonded with the little ones and took it upon themselves to care for them.

β€œThese puppies instantly won over the hearts of the family,” shared Kylie Jackson, SDC’s board member and social media manager.

At just seven weeks old, the puppies were fortunately in decent health, apart from a flea infestation. After a soothing flea bath, they were feeling much better. The kids gave them fitting names: Artemis, Hephaestus, and the β€œplayful runt,” Squirt. The family lovingly cared for the trio until they could transition to a foster home.

Thanks to these rescuers, the puppies are now thriving under the care of their foster mom, Taite. β€œThey’re settling into their new home, staying warm, and enjoying plenty of rest and playtime,” SDC shared in a Facebook update.

Once the puppies are fully vaccinated and mature enough, they’ll be ready for adoption. Interested families can apply through SDC’s adoption page. With their playful and affectionate personalities, these three are sure to brighten any home.

β€œThey absolutely love to play,” Jackson said, adding that their favorite toy is a stuffed octopus.

After enduring a frigid and uncertain start to life, these puppies are now on the path to finding forever homes where they’ll always have love, warmth, and comfort.
