When residents of Price Hill, Ohio, spotted two dogs lingering on a porch, their concern was palpable. One of the dogs was a tripod, and both appeared severely undernourished and despondent. Their distress prompted an outpouring of posts on Facebook, pleading for assistance. Meanwhile, Sampson and Boss patiently awaited aid.
Rescue Me Animal Advocacy stumbled upon the social media pleas regarding the canine duo and felt compelled to act. Though the pups were located outside their typical rescue zone, they made an exception and promptly retrieved them. “We rushed them to the vet and have been providing boarding ever since,” recounted Kim Bush, president of Rescue Me Animal Advocacy. “They’re looking much better now, healthier, but regrettably, finding them a permanent home has proven challenging.”
Sampson and Boss have been residing together at a boarding facility since November, yet no one has expressed interest in adopting them. Both dogs exude sweetness and vitality, truly deserving of finding their forever home.
“We’ve been covering their boarding costs, and everyone at the facility adores them and ensures their well-being, but it’s just not the same as having a home,” remarked Bush.
Sampson and Boss would thrive if adopted together, but they can also be adopted separately, provided there are no other pets in the home either way. Boss, with his high energy, would flourish in an active family setting. On the other hand, Sampson, the affectionate tripod, yearns for someone to share couch cuddles with. Ultimately, they both crave love and have been eagerly awaiting the opportunity to find it.
Since their arrival at the boarding facility, Sampson and Boss have experienced a remarkable improvement in their quality of life compared to their days waiting on that porch.
“I can only imagine the relief they must have felt to finally be warm, comfortable, and well-fed,” Bush expressed.
Regrettably, nothing can truly compare to the warmth and security of a loving forever family.
These resilient dog brothers have endured a rough start, and now, more than anything, they yearn for their well-deserved happy ending.
