At Pups at Play doggie daycare in Montclair, New Jersey, the atmosphere is typically filled with lively barks and wagging tails. However, there are some dogs who prefer a quieter, more relaxed vibe. One such dog, Mia, found herself in a calm corner of the daycare, away from the more energetic pups vying for attention. While she seemed content, her younger brother, Theo, noticed she was being overlooked.
Rather than join in the chaos with the other dogs, Theo decided to take matters into his own paws. He gently grabbed the arm of a staff member and led them to Mia, showing the caretaker where the sweet older dog was resting. It was a tender gesture — Theo wanted to make sure Mia received the attention and love she deserved.
The heartwarming moment was captured on video, and when Theo and Mia’s owner, Jesse, saw it later, they were equally touched. “We were amazed at the fact that Theo led the caretaker to Mia,” Jesse shared with The Dodo. “It was the sweetest thing.”
Mia, at 12 years old, has slowed down a bit in her later years, but she still enjoys the company of her younger, more energetic brother. Jesse explained that while some people worried Theo might sense something wrong with Mia, her behavior was just part of her age. “All in all, it truly has been so nice to see our pups bring joy to people on the internet as they do every day to us at home!” Jesse said.
