“His story has a very happy ending.”

A few months ago, while working at a furniture store in Neuquรฉn, Argentina, Giselle Morales encountered an unexpected situation, thanks to a customer’s observation.

It turned out that someone with no intention of buying anything had slipped into the store and was now peacefully napping on one of the display beds at the front. To Morales’ surprise, it was a stray dog who had found his way into the shop and made himself comfortable.

But instead of ushering the dog out, Morales decided to make him even more comfortable by tucking him in.

“What are you up to? Testing out our mattress? Itโ€™s pretty chilly in Neuquรฉn,” Morales can be heard saying in a video. “Well, weโ€™ll let you stay right here.”

As the workday came to an end, Morales realized she couldnโ€™t bear to send the dog back out into the cold night.

“It was chilly that evening, and he was shivering,” Morales recalled. Though she couldnโ€™t offer the dog โ€” whom she named Roman โ€” a permanent home, she was determined to find him a family that could.

Over the following weeks, Morales showed Roman that he was safe, helping him come out of his shell.

“He’s a very affectionate and playful dog,” Morales shared.

The pup who had sneaked into her store had also sneaked into her heart. Morales knew it would be tough to part with Roman when the time came for him to be adopted โ€” but she didn’t have to entirely let go.

“He was adopted by a friend of my sister, so he stayed in the family,” Morales said. “I see him every now and then and take him for a walk.”

The day Morales found Roman curled up in one of her storeโ€™s display beds is one sheโ€™ll never forget โ€” but what followed has been even more memorable.

“He found love,” Morales said. “His story has a wonderfully happy ending.”

Roman’s new dad, Eze Acuรฑa, is overjoyed to provide him with that happiness.

“Remember the video where he was found lying in a bed at a shop?” Acuรฑa said. “He looked so scared and vulnerable. Now, heโ€™s a completely different dog.”
