How long had she been living there?

Just a few days ago, a woman named Maria was passing through South Los Angeles when she spotted a white cardboard box left on the curb. A man working at a nearby shop mentioned to Maria that he had seen something living inside the box. Intrigued, Maria decided to take a closer look.

At first glance, the box appeared to be just another piece of trash. But then, to her surprise, a little black furry head peeked out.

The man was right β€” a kitten had made the box her home, and she was in desperate need of help.

Maria gently lifted the kitten from the box and placed her safely inside her car. Soon after, Maria reached out to local cat rescuer Tara Coppola, who kindly agreed to take the kitten under her wing.

As Coppola welcomed her newest furry resident, she was immediately struck by the kitten’s warm and friendly demeanor. It was clear to Coppola that this little one had once been cherished by someone.

β€œThis kitten is incredibly affectionate,” Coppola noted. β€œIt’s clear she was previously cared for.”

Now in Coppola’s care, the kitten is receiving the necessary veterinary attention to ensure she grows into a healthy adult cat. Once she’s ready, Coppola will help find her a loving forever home.

Finally safe and cared for, this kitten is beginning to live the life she truly deserves.
