Celebrating its fourth year, the Comedy Pet Awards recently wrapped up in London, spotlighting the playful, bizarre, and downright hilarious antics of our beloved pets.
Securing the top prize was Michel Zoghzoghi, renowned for his work photographing majestic big cats worldwide. Michel’s winning shot featured his rescued duo, with the lively Max playfully surprising the more reserved Alex.
As the champion, Michel earned £500 in cash, a top-notch camera bag from ThinkTank, and a one-of-a-kind trophy.
Tom Sullam, Co-founder of the Comedy Pet Awards, expressed enthusiasm: “In just a few short years, this competition has brought some of the most uplifting, life-affirming, and downright funny pet images to the world. With pets playing a vital role, especially during the COVID years, sharing laughter with these adorable creatures is the very essence of this competition.”
“Picture this: March 2019, Union Square’s bustling dog run in New York. A poised lady, hand adorned with a pink bag for a touch of grace, orchestrates a playful ball toss to her canine companion. What follows is pure canine theatrics—a seated dog defying gravity with a mid-air flip, locking eyes with me. In the blink of a shutter, an ordinary day transforms into a mesmerizing spectacle!”
“Meet Karin and her duo of dogs—remarkably alike, aren’t they?”
“Behold, the champion of the underprivileged makes a comeback, this time as a dog, not on horseback but in a car! The essential black mask is, of course, non-negotiable.”
