The animal rescue center established by TV presenter and conservationist Simon Cowell is making a heartfelt request for those considering sending floral tributes to instead send wildflower seeds.

Mr. Cowell, who passed away on June 9 at the age of 72 after battling aggressive lung cancer, founded the Wildlife Aid Foundation in Leatherhead and was known for his work presenting Wildlife SOS.

In honor of his memory and his passion for wildlife, the center is planning to open a new visitor center nearby. They have launched the “Simon’s last wish” campaign, urging continued donations to sustain and expand his conservation legacy.

Expressing gratitude for the outpouring of love and support received since his passing, the foundation stated they have been deeply touched by the messages.

“For those who wish to send flowers, please consider sending us wildflower seeds instead,” the foundation’s statement reads. “We will plant these at our new site in memory of Simon, and to support the local bees, insects, and birds that he cherished.”

Mr. Cowell’s daughter, Lou Cowell, will continue his work and uphold his legacy within the foundation, ensuring his dedication to wildlife conservation endures.
