“He feels like he lives here.”
A few years back, Danielle Chermont and her family settled into a new condominium with their beloved dog, Amora. The new abode boasted a sunny, airy atmosphere and a grassy front yard perfect for Amora’s playful antics.
Amora adored their new home, but there was another aspect she found equally delightful. Shortly after their move, Chermont and her family became acquainted with their next-door neighbor, who also happened to have a dog remarkably similar in appearance to Amora.
His name? Nick.
One day, while Nickβs owner was out running errands, Chermontβs mom heard him barking and whining next door.
βMy mother felt sorry for him being alone, so she brought him into our house,β Chermont recounted.
Thatβs when Amora and Nick really hit it off. But this wouldnβt be their only playdate.
Since that day, Nick took it upon himself to drop by Amoraβs home whenever the mood strikes him.
βHe just enters the house now,β Chermont said. βHe feels like he lives here.β
Sometimes, Amora hears Nick at the door and waits eagerly to greet him.
βAmora loves her friend’s company,β Chermont said. They’re a match made in heaven. Though Nick’s sole focus is on Amora, meaning he rarely stops to greet Chermont’s family during his visits, they’re always happy when he drops by.
“My family has always been very attached to dogs, so we love welcoming him,” Chermont said.
