A bird of prey is in critical condition after being injured in an incident involving an aircraft.
The JSPCA said the male marsh harrier was taken into its care after reportedly being thrown to the ground with serious force at Jersey Airport.
In a social media post on Sunday, the charity explained that it was not completely certain whether the bird had been struck by the plane or caught in turbulence from the engine. However, despite the severe impact, the marsh harrier had survived and was receiving close veterinary care.
A JSPCA spokesperson said the birdβs condition remains uncertain because of the extent of its injuries. The wildlife team described its chances as βtouch and goβ as they continue treatment.
