โ[She was] making the workers very nervous.”
Earlier this year, workers at a busy rail yard in Texas showed up for their shift only to discover a small black dog darting frantically between the tracks. She was running back and forth in panic, slipping in front of moving trains and barely avoiding danger.

โShe was making the workers extremely nervous,โ Pacoโs Rescue Network shared on Facebook. โTheyโve seen what can happen to dogs that wander into the yard.โ
Trying not to scare her, the employees approached as slowly as possible, hoping she would let them help. But the frightened dog kept her distance, unsure if she could trust anyone.

โShe clearly needed help and wanted someone to step in, but she was too timid to let anyone close at first,โ said Carla Relf of Pacoโs Rescue Network.
With time and patience, the workers finally managed to earn the dogโs trust and safely move her away from the tracks. They took her to the nearby Airbnb where they were staying, giving her food and water while they searched for someone who could take her in.
They contacted several shelters, but every single one was full. Just as they began to run out of options, they reached Pacoโs Rescue Network, who arranged for a foster mom named Kim to take the pup.

โThose patient, determined men truly saved her life,โ the rescue wrote.
The dog, now named Amy Fay, was shy at first โ but within a day of settling into Kimโs home, her gentle and eager-to-please personality began to shine.
โSheโs soft-natured, anxious to do the right thing, and always wants to make you happy,โ the rescue shared.

To Kimโs surprise, Amy Fay instantly bonded with her other dogs, blending into the group as if sheโd been part of the pack all along. She quickly discovered that cuddling was just as fun as playing.
โShe adores her foster siblings and has plenty of playful energy,โ Pacoโs Rescue Network added.
Now that Amy Fay has completed all her vet checks, sheโs officially ready for adoption. Because she loves being around other dogs, sheโd thrive in a home with furry companions. After everything sheโs survived, she deserves a family who will cherish her.
โWeโd really love for Amy Fay to find a home for the holidays,โ Relf said. โSheโs such a sweet girl.โ
