“They’re the cutest” ❤️
Over the past year, a small candy shop tucked away in Colombia has had a particularly charming regular — a devoted dog named Laika.
“Laika stops by almost every day,” shared the owner of Dulcería Las Caleñitas Cajicá in an interview with The Dodo. “We always make sure she gets something to eat.”
But it seems Laika couldn’t keep the shop’s generosity to herself. A few months ago, she showed up at the doorstep as usual — only this time, she brought a friend.
By her side was a ginger-furred pup, just as eager for a treat.
To document their growing friendship, the candy shop put together a video showing the pair’s sweet visits. “They’re absolutely adorable,” the owner said. “Watching them together is such a joy.”
Although both dogs do have homes, they appear to prefer lounging in the warm sun outside the shop. And they get more than snacks there — they receive love and care.
Laika has even been taken to the vet by the shop’s owner to be spayed, ensuring she won’t have any unwanted litters. It’s just one of many ways the owner looks after the animals who wander by.
“We feed every dog that shows up hungry, whether they belong to someone or not — because we can’t always tell,” the owner explained. “What we do here truly comes from the heart.”
