Franny, the Sweet Pup Waiting for Her Forever Home
Three years ago, Franny was adopted from PAWS Chicago, excited to start her new life. But soon after, she was returned to the shelter. Since then, she’s been patiently waiting, hoping to find the perfect family.
Franny’s ideal home is one without cats, young kids, or other dogs, which has made finding the right match a challenge. Because of this, she’s been overlooked, stuck in a cycle where the longer she stays, the harder it becomes for her to get adopted.
Despite this, everyone at PAWS Chicago adores her playful, loving personality. She’s a volunteer favorite, known for her “famous grin” and happy wiggle when playing or hanging out with people.
To help her, Joey Masloski — who runs a TikTok promoting shelter adoptions — visited Franny and was instantly charmed. Inspired, he rallied elementary school students to write over 100 heartfelt letters to Franny, filled with drawings and messages of hope for her to find a home.
Recently, Franny moved into a foster home to experience life outside the shelter, though she’s still looking for her forever family. If you want a 10/10 couch companion with a “wiggle butt” full of joy, Franny might just be the perfect match.
