“We’re gonna get him a better situation than what he’s in.”

When Sloan Hobbs and his family noticed a peculiar line of straw in the grass, they stopped to investigate. What they discovered left them heartbroken: a tiny, vulnerable mouse nestled among the straw, abandoned and in need of help.

“There’s a special place in hell for whoever dropped this off,” Hobbs shared in a TikTok video.

Determined to save the little creature, the family carefully scooped him up with some straw and brought him home. They named the mouse Peanut and immediately set out to make him comfortable. Peanut appeared to be an older mouse, adding to the tragedy of his abandonment.

“We saved the mouse,” Hobbs said. “He’s a little cold. We’re going to get him a better situation than what he’s in.”

The Hobbs family worked quickly, creating a temporary setup for Peanut and making plans for a larger enclosure. Hobbs, who owns a 3D printer, saw an opportunity to give Peanut a truly unique home.

“We’re grateful we found Peanut in time,” Hobbs said. “Now it’s all about giving this mouse the best life possible.”

Within 24 hours, Peanut’s transformation was remarkable. He began exploring his new space with enthusiasm, already looking healthier and happier. The family even started 3D printing a custom “mouse castle” complete with Peanut’s name.

Peanut may have been discarded like trash, but in the Hobbs household, he found a family who treasures him and is committed to giving him the loving life he deserves.
