Bounding poodles, a curious bracco Italiano, and lounging golden retrievers were among the many participants on the second day of this year’s Crufts at the NEC.

Over 18,000 competitors are gearing up to showcase their skills at the event, located on the outskirts of Birmingham, which commenced on Thursday and concludes on Sunday.

In pursuit of the coveted title of Best in Show, these canine contenders will engage in an array of trials and exhibitions.

Friday’s schedule featured additional agility challenges, freestyle heelwork, and a special performance by the West Midlands Police Dog Display team.

Emerald-furred Irish setters, graceful spaniels, keen-eyed pointers, and loyal retrievers were all poised to grace the prestigious event.

The history of Crufts unfolds like a captivating tale, originating in 1891 as a humble gathering solely for terriers. Through the passage of time, it has evolved and flourished into the grand spectacle it is today, embodying a rich legacy that spans over a century, captivating hearts and minds with its unique charm and allure.
