The other day, Ivonne La Crespa was walking near her home in Bogotá, Colombia, when something unusual caught her eye on the busy city sidewalk.
Just ahead, in front of a shopping complex, sat a small dog dressed in a uniform that read “private security.” Positioned beside a human security guard, the pup stood watch, diligently keeping an eye on the area as La Crespa walked by.
She couldn’t help but be charmed — and had to share the sight with others.
It turned out this wasn’t a one-time occurrence. After La Crespa’s post, X user @im_therealsun revealed she had also spotted the little security dog before.
“As soon as I saw him, I stopped in my tracks,” @im_therealsun shared with The Dodo. “It made my day to see him so calm and dignified in his little uniform.”
Thanks to their posts, the adorable little security dog quickly went viral online. But the heartwarming story behind how he came to land his “official” position is even cuter.
The Dodo reached out to the shopping center’s management and learned that the dog’s name is Jordan Ignacio. At 3 years old, he’s the beloved pet of Jesús Porras, a fashion designer who operates a business at the shopping complex.
Not wanting Jordan to be lonely at home, Porras began bringing him to work, but the dog preferred to relax in the sun on the sidewalk. One day, a passerby mistook Jordan for a stray and tried to take him, so Porras got creative. Using his sewing machine, he designed a little security uniform to make Jordan’s presence feel more official.
