Shaun McCourt, 42, from Liverpool, was sentenced to five months in jail in Aberdeen for neglecting Mastiff-cross puppies in 2019. His actions resulted in the euthanasia of four puppies, one of which was in the worst condition ever seen by a veterinarian.

The puppies were found in Aberdeen

McCourt was found guilty of multiple offenses in 2019 at Ash-Hill Drive in Aberdeen. He neglected several dogs, failing to maintain a clean environment for a mother dog and her six puppies. They were exposed to unsanitary conditions, including urine and feces.

According to Prosecutor Brooklyn Shaw, the Scottish SPCA discovered the dogs severely neglected, with visible signs of swelling. The room they were confined in was cramped and unsuitable for their well-being.
