A Heartwarming Encounter

A nature enthusiast had a touching moment with a robin last Monday.

A Friendly Visitor

Fay Wadsworth, a photographer from Sheffield, England, was exploring a park in Doncaster when the little bird hopped onto her camera and nestled near the warmth of her jacket.

A Lucky Moment

β€œI felt truly lucky to have this unusually sociableβ€”and likely chillyβ€”robin visit me at Yorkshire Wildlife Park,” said the 31-year-old.

Unexpected Company

She had been near the Amur leopard enclosure, waiting to photograph the new cubs, when she noticed some fluttering.

β€œIt was a tiny robin that landed on my camera… then decided my hair was the perfect resting spot,” she recalled.

Gentle Care

β€œAt first, I thought it might have gotten tangled in my hair, so I carefully freed its legs and extended my hand, expecting it to fly away immediately.

β€œBut it didn’t; it chose to stay.”

Following Expert Advice

Fay stayed close to the woodland area while the little bird remained with her, following the guidance of the park rangers.
