βLittle teeny, tiny babies. Left like trashβ π
Sometimes, compassion arrives at just the right moment β even after a long day.
After finishing a long shift at her local animal shelter, volunteer Mary Nakiso was heading out the door when she noticed something strange sitting by the wall β a blue bucket she didnβt recognize. Curious, she stepped closer, only to discover two tiny puppies peeking up at her from inside.

βTwo helpless, newborn pups were left behind the shelter, crammed inside a blue bucket like trash,β wrote Suzette Hall, founder of Loganβs Legacy 29, on Facebook.
The little ones β scared but hopeful β tried to stand up to meet Maryβs gaze. It was clear theyβd been dumped and left to fend for themselves. Without hesitation, Mary scooped them up and rushed them to Camino Pet Hospital, knowing time was critical.
Once there, veterinarians examined the puppies and found that both were suffering from parvovirus, and one had a torn cornea. The team named them Wonton and Beetles, and immediately began treatment.

βTheyβre finally safe, warm, and cared for,β Hall shared. βThese sweet little angels are going to be okay now.β
A few days later, both pups were showing signs of improvement. Wonton, the tan puppy, responded well to his parvo treatment and started regaining his strength. Beetles, the black puppy, is waiting for surgery to remove her injured eye, but she hasnβt let it dim her spirit.

As they continue to heal, the two pups are surrounded by warmth, comfort, and love at the clinic. Once Beetles recovers from her surgery, both will be ready for adoption β hopefully together, so they never have to be separated again.
βItβs heartbreaking that they were abandoned like that,β Hall told The Dodo. βBut now, their lives are just beginning.β
