When actors Sofia Carson and Corey Mylchreest sat down for a playful round of speed dating, they weren’t just trying to impress each other—they were both vying for the affection of a very special third party: Lionel, an adorable 8-year-old rescue pup in need of a forever home.

One challenge asked Sofia and Corey to guess Lionel’s breed. Sofia went with a general “terrier,” while Corey confidently guessed a mix of Yorkshire terrier and Shih Tzu. While both were close, Sofia’s broader guess turned out to be right.
Another fun round involved guessing how long Lionel had been single (the answer: two months), and while the quiz continued, so did the playful jabs between the costars—each quietly hoping to be Lionel’s favorite.
After the rounds of questions and bonding were complete, it was time for the moment of truth: Who would Lionel choose?
At first, all signs pointed to Sofia—but in a last-minute twist, Lionel trotted over to Corey, declaring him the winner of this adorable showdown. Ever the gentleman, Corey presented Lionel with a rose, while Sofia offered a parting gift of dog cookies, because, as she put it, “he’s earned them.”
As the event wrapped up, both actors shared heartfelt well wishes for the pup’s future.
