From the moment Ana de Armas met her Dodo Dream Date, a lovable pup named Rhonda, it was clear the two were a match made in rescue heaven.
“Wow, you’re stunning,” Ana said warmly as she laid eyes on Rhonda in a video created by The Dodo.
Described by her rescuers as the ultimate “lovebug,” Rhonda wasted no time living up to the title. Ana, excited to bond with her four-legged date, arranged a sunny outdoor continental breakfast for them to enjoy together.
Rhonda, full of energy and curiosity, couldn’t resist diving into the feast—literally. She leapt onto the table in her excitement, sending plates tumbling, but her enthusiasm only added to her charm. Though spinach didn’t win her over, nearly everything else on the menu got two paws up.
As the two settled into their morning, Ana pulled playful icebreaker questions from a bowl, sharing sweet details about her own pups, Elvis and Salsa. She also gave a sneak peek into her upcoming role in Ballerina, where she portrays a dancer with a dangerous side.
Despite Rhonda’s table-hopping and messy snacking, Ana didn’t mind one bit. “She’s doing her best,” she laughed, clearly smitten.
The highlight of the breakfast? A dish Ana guessed would be Rhonda’s ultimate treat: whipped cream. “I probably should’ve asked if you’re lactose intolerant,” Ana joked, “but I think we’ll survive.”
Between bites, Ana opened up about the many over-the-top things she’s done for her pets, proving just how deep her love for animals runs.
“My dog Elvis was on set with me for a few days,” Ana shared. “He had his own chair, and the hair and makeup team kept him cool and hydrated. Total movie star treatment.”
To wrap up the delightful morning, Rhonda surprised Ana with a sweet handwritten note that read, “Dinner is on me.” Ana was clearly touched by the thoughtful gesture.
“I adore Rhonda,” Ana said, smiling. “She’s absolutely gorgeous, and I can just imagine her being part of a warm, loving family—maybe even with kids.”
