Kitten Rescued on Couple’s Honeymoon Becomes Their Unexpected Wedding Gift
When Jacqi and her husband set out on a road trip during their honeymoon, they never imagined they’d be coming home with more than memories — they’d be coming home with a tiny new family member.
Driving along a busy road, the couple suddenly stopped when Jacqi’s husband swore he saw something moving on the pavement. “He thought it was a giant caterpillar,” Jacqi shared in a now-viral TikTok video. Without hesitation, he pulled over, jumped out of the car, and ran toward the mysterious shape.
What he brought back wasn’t a caterpillar at all — it was a tiny, white, fluffy kitten, barely clinging to life.
The couple immediately rushed her to the vet. Despite suffering from an upper respiratory infection and a small cut on her mouth, the kitten — later named Princess Charmella, or Charmy for short — was in remarkably good condition.
The honeymoon quickly turned into a rescue mission. The newlyweds bottle-fed Charmy, woke up with her throughout the night, and even brought her along to romantic dinners and poolside lounging — tucked snugly inside Jacqi’s purse.
“We are so happy to have her,” Jacqi said. “She is our wedding gift from the universe.”
Now home from their honeymoon, Jacqi and her husband are helping Charmy heal and adjust to her new life. Though she’s still learning how the world works, she’s already bringing joy and magic to her new family — and it’s clear she was meant to be with them.
