“It was only by a miracle that somebody noticed them …”
10 Abandoned Puppies Rescued from Near a Busy Freeway — A Miracle Rescue
On the morning of April Fool’s Day, Suzette Hall, the founder of Logan’s Legacy 29, was hoping the call about a wire crate near a busy freeway was just a prank. But as the description of whimpers under a blanket reached her, Hall’s heart sank. This wasn’t a joke—it was a dire rescue mission.
“I had rescued [four] dogs at this exact spot on Christmas,” Hall shared on Facebook. “When I heard about the pups, I knew I had to act quickly.”

10 Puppies Left Behind at a Busy Freeway
Hall, accompanied by her friend Becks Goodman, rushed to the location, hoping they could save whatever animals had been abandoned. There, under a purple zebra print blanket, they found a shocking sight: 10 tiny puppies abandoned in a wire crate.
“We couldn’t believe our eyes when we lifted the blanket,” Hall wrote. “10 little babies, still wiggling their tails.”
The sight was gut-wrenching. While they had expected a few animals, seeing 10 puppies in such rough conditions left the rescuers devastated. The sound of the freeway drowned out the puppies’ cries, and Hall realized how close they had come to being overlooked.
“It was literally a miracle that a Good Samaritan heard them barking and called for help,” Hall explained. “If no one had noticed, they might not have made it.”
A Tough Start, but Hope Shines Through
The puppies, named Barry, Scooby, Eggo, E.T., Piglet, Chicken, Elvis, Banana, Eeyore, and Pooh Bear, were found in poor condition. Injured and with bare, inflamed skin, they were clearly suffering, but Hall made a promise to them that she would ensure they thrived from that moment forward.

Hall quickly drove the group to the vet for exams. It was discovered that many of the dogs were seniors and would require extensive treatment plans. Despite the challenging start, the vet team confirmed that the pups all had good prognoses. With love, medicine, and time, they would all make full recoveries.
Recovery and Hope for a Better Future
Now, just over two weeks after their rescue, the 10 puppies are doing better each day. Their fur is starting to grow back, and they’re receiving all the love and care they need in their medical foster homes.

“These little babies are so sweet and thankful,” Hall wrote. “They’re finally getting the love they’ve always deserved.”
Once fully recovered, these survivor pups will be available for adoption, ready to start a new chapter in loving homes. Until then, they continue to thrive and forget the horrors of their past.
“These little miracles are full of gratitude,” Hall said. “It’s been a privilege to help them.”
