Lyft Offers Discounted Rides for Animal Lovers Ahead of the Puppy Bowl
Animal Planetβs beloved Puppy Bowl is back on Sunday, February 9, just in time to kick off game day celebrations. This yearβs matchup between Team Ruff and Team Fluff will showcase 142 adorable rescue puppies, representing 80 shelters from 40 states and two countries, all ready to melt hearts and promote pet adoption.
To mark the occasion and encourage people to adopt or foster pets, Lyft is offering discounted Pet Rides from February 2 to February 9. Lyft’s Pet Rides allow users to book drivers who are happy to accommodate pets for an additional $4 (plus tax) fee β which, notably, goes entirely to the driver.

But for Puppy Bowl week, Lyft is giving 50% off two Pet Rides (up to $20 per ride) when riders use the promo code PUPPYBOWL. This initiative is aimed at making it easier for people to visit animal shelters and bring home a new furry family member.
Launched in August 2024, Pet Rides have primarily been used for trips to veterinarians, pet stores, and travel adventures. Now, Lyft hopes to inspire more adoption journeys.
“At Lyft, we understand how important pets are to our riders,” said Audrey Liu, Lyftβs Executive Vice President and Head of Rider and Community Safety. “Our goal is to make it simple for people to find their new best friend and bring them along for the ride, especially during the excitement of the Big Game weekend.”
As a special treat, some New Orleans riders might even get to hop into a Pupmobile, a ride decked out with Puppy Bowl goodies and toys for pets β adding a bit of surprise fun to the experience.
Ultimately, both the Puppy Bowl and Lyftβs partnership share a mission: helping more animals find loving, forever homes.
During the broadcast, expect to see touching adoption stories alongside the puppy athletes dashing toward the end zone β all competing for the coveted “Lombarky” Trophy and a chance to be adopted.
